Detailed description of the tour:
Starting point and time are near fortressVrmac (42.421794, 18.749010) at 9:00 am. Transfer to starting point can be provided. At the option we can go inside the fortress built in late XIX century or take some beautiful photos nearby. Inside is not that attractive, but you will for sure feel like you jumped in past. There is small church inside fortress and well-preserved embrasures on the last floor. While visiting fort, having flashlight is mandatory and you should watch your steps because there are a lot of opened technical pits.
Walking through pine forest, we will arrive at gravel road built over 130 years ago. While our tour goes on, we will climb from 450 meters above sea level to 750 meters, up to peak St. Iliya and you can see marvelous views on Kotor and Tivat bays opening in front of your eyes. We will take a small break there, taking photos for about 30 minutes or more according to all participants preferences. On this photo kids are sitting on bunker used during Yugoslav war.
After the break we will continue walking down the gravel road. While going through picturesque places and enjoying beautiful views, we will collect medical herbs that are good for your health. In Montenegro different herbs grow in different time of the year. But on this road there is almost always sage – natural medicine for respiratory tract. During tour I will give you recommendations which herbs to collect and what they are good for.
By request we can climb on lookout point – church of St. Vid built in 1327 and continue to Gornya Lastva.
View from lookout point
After visiting church there will be only one spring on our way and from that moment on there is asphalt road that will lead us to Donya Lastva. There our tour ends. I can help calling a taxi or arranging transfer to your home or hotel.
